Touch-Point Math

One of the strategies we love to use in math is called Touch-Point Counting.  It uses a dot system on numbers to count-on and add numbers together.  We played Pop-Up Math.  Some of the kids wore numbers with the touch-points on them.  When they turned around the other kids added the numbers together.  As soon as they had solved the equation, they popped up and sat on their desks.  It was super fun and the kids were amazed they could add so many numbers together so quickly.
