Digging the Dinosaurs!

We read a fiction book called Big Grunt and Little Egg.  Then, we read a non-fiction book called Mighty Dinosaurs.  Next, we made a Dinosaur Book with pictures we drew and facts we researched. Last, we turned into paleontologists, who are Scientists who study Dinosaurs and dig up bones.  We had to get the correct equipment because we learned that dinosaur bones are very delicate and cannot be touch by human hands.  We used tooth picks, tweezers and magnifying glasses to dig the bones (chocolate chips) out of the hard dirt (cookies) and then 'reconstructed a dinosaur, because we discovered them we got to name them.  We came up with very interesting names: Giraffesaurus, Meranda Rex, Sunshineadactyl, Cadearonasus, Tito-TRex,  Lucasaurus,  RunningManasaurus, just to name a few!
