Fall Fun For All

One of our math standards is to be able to sort and classify items, so we went on a leaf hunt.  The kids each gathered 20 leaves looking for attributes that made them different.  We did rubbings and we sorted them into different groups such as sizes and colors etc.  The kids completed a graph showing how many they had of each different color.  Then, their big buddies helped them create and name a leaf creature.  The project was full of great learning and was a blast.
