Dress Like A Farmer Day

We had such a great time learning about farms.  We learned that farms are a lot of work.  Farmers work from early in the morning until late at night.  Their work never ends.  Farmers provide us with the healthy food we eat.  On Dress Like a Farmer Day we were able to sheer sheep, milk a cow, feed a pig, eat like a chicken and make butter.  It was a blast!  Thank you to Mr. Mustache and the awesome, amazing parents who helped us.

The Nutrition Plate

We have been learning about foods that are nutritious for our bodies.  We've done several activities using The Nutrition Plate put out by the government which explains how to make our bodies strong and healthy.  Our teacher has been collecting newspaper ads for months so we could build our own Nutrition Plates.  We worked together in teams. Some of the information we figured out included that healthy food comes from farms and unhealthy food comes from factories.
