Whooooo's Learning About Owls?

We read the books Owl Moon and Facts About Owls, we studied Owls.  We found out that they are very interesting creatures.  We learned that Owls eat animals whole.  Their bodies eat the meat out of their prey then they make a pellet that they regurgitate.  The kids worked with a partner to dissect an Owl Pellet.  Each of the kids made an paper owl with facts on the back.  It was somewhat yucky and super interesting and a lot of fun.  We also studied Folktales and Tall Tales.  We studied Pecos Bill, Paul Bunyan and Daniel Boone.  Next, we will be learning about Fables.
