Dem Bones, We measured our Bones

We have been learning to add multiple numbers.  We practiced by measuring our bones with a yard stick and adding the numbers of inches together on a calculator to find our how many inches of bones we have.  Then we wrote the total across our wingspan.  Last, we got our skeletons dressed because nobody really wanted a bunch on naked skeletons hanging around!

Making A Monster

After we read the book Go Away Big Scary Monster and watched how to build a monster step-by-step, our fifth grade big buddies helped us build our own monsters.  They turned out great and scary. We love our big buddies!

Class Store

The kids have been working and saving money for the past six weeks.  It was such a blast to watch the kids figure out how to spend their money.  They planned and added and subtracted and spent their money accordingly.  It was so much fun to watch them think!
