One Hundred Days Smarter on the 100 Day of School

We did some amazing activities on our hundredth day of school. We had a healthy snack of carrots and cumcumbers that made a 100.   Each of the kids brought one hundred edible items.  We counted them, then mixed them, then sorted and classified them.  It was so interesting and fun to see how they chose to sort the treats.  They only got to eat five and then they took the rest home to show parents how to sort and classify.  We wrote about how we will act when we are old folks.  It was really fun.  Miss Melanie found a website to show the kids how they might look when they are old.  Super funny!  The last thing we did was split the kids into two teams and gave each team 100 pieces of paper.  They had the world's best snowball fight. It is fun to see what little kids can do with 200 snowballs. Then we did a division problem that included figuring out how many each child got to take home to make it even.  Watch out parents!  A snowball fight is headed your way.  YeeHaw!
