Digging for Dinosaur Bones!

Our Reading Program has two stories in it.  One, The Mighty Dinosaurs is non-fiction.  The other one Little Grunt and The Big Egg is fiction.  We learned a lot about dinosaurs.  We learned how hard a paleontologist's job is to dig dinosaur bones out of hard dirt.  We practiced digging bones "chocolate chips" out of solid dirt "Chips Ahoy Cookies" with special equipment "toothpicks" without breaking the bones.  It was challenging and a whole lot of fun and delicious!
