Farm Poetry

One of the fun activities we included with learning about farms was poetry.  We have been working on identifying rhyming words and rhythm in reading poetry.  The kids were split into five groups and assigned a farm animal.  They worked together to write a poem about their animal.  Great job kids!
I SAW A CRAZY PIG
I saw a crazy pig who was wearing a wig.
I saw a crazy pig who was dancing a jig.
I saw a crazy pig hiding in a big rig.
I saw a crazy pig who stepped on a twig.
That is one crazy pig!

A DUCK IN A TRICK
A duck was riding in a truck.
He almost hit a buck.
He swerved and landed in the muck.
And the poor little duck was stuck!

THE SHEEP
Once upon a time there was a sheep.
He really liked to bleep.
He leaped into a passing jeep.
He was surprised because
there was a creep!  Yikes!

 THE KING COW
Once there was a King of Cows.
He made all of the other cows bow.
Some of the cows said, "We won't bow".
So all of the cows are happy now!

A HORSE, OF COURSE!
Once upon a time there was a horse.
He went through a sad divorce.
He finally found a source
that helped him find "The Force"
So he was okay Of Course!
