What Do You Do When The Lights Go Out At Jefferson?

So, apparently a bird flew into a transformer which blew up and knocked the power out to a whole grid of Pocatello.  We were left in the dark for over 30 minutes.  We actually had a blast.  First, we read some Junie B. Jones.  Then, we played Math in the Dark (it was a bit challenging).  Last, we went outside for some extra recess.  The kids were great.  They want the power to go out everyday but most of them were really worried about the bird.  One of the kids said, "That little bird gave his life so we could have extra recess!" So sweet, so tweet!
