Using Base Ten Blocks For STEM Activity

First, we learned about place value and regrouping using Base Ten Blocks and a Place Value Mat.  We played a game called "Pay Day".  We got paid $6.00 dollars in cubes every time a bell rang.  We added and regrouped ones and tens until we reached $100 dollars in our bank account.  It was so much fun.  Then, we used the Base Ten Blocks for a STEM activity! (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)  The kids had to build a structure where gummi bears could live.  The kids were so creative.  Love these clever learners!

Greater Than and Less Than

We figured out that 'crocodiles are pigs'! hehe!  We had some cool crocodiles who always eat the greater number.  The puppets made learning about greater than and less than a lot of fun.

A Thankful Thanksgiving!

Best Parent Support Ever.  Thank you wonderful parents.  Great job on supplying the meat for our feast.  We had fantastic support from parents willing to help the kids dish up their plates.  We had the cutest little Pilgrims ever.  Wonderful feast.  We are all so grateful.
