Merry Christmas Party and the gifts we shared!

Each of the kids brought a gift to share with all of the other kids.  It was so much fun to watch the kids announce what they'd brought and pass them out to everyone.  Pure joy sharing a Christmas gift with everyone.

Owl Pellets - Super Fun, amazing learning!

We read a story called Owl Moon.  It was really interesting.  We studied about owls and how fascinating they are.  We then dissected owl pellets.  At first they seemed kind of icky but the more the kids pulled them apart the more interesting they became.  It was a great hands-on project and some really great learning.  Owls are amazing birds!

Partners of Ten Game

The kids learned a few games which required them to know the partners of ten.  Some of them used cards, dice, white boards and other fun things to show their knowledge.  They got really good at naming the partners.

We had so much fun learning about the Pilgrims and Native Americans.  We had a good old- fashioned Rendezvous.  We made beaded necklaces, hats, Kachina dolls, place mats and learned a Native American stick game.  Great learning, awesome fun!
