Read, Read, Read, Read, Read,

It was so much fun to watch how much the kids love to read.  Each student got a 'bag of books' and found a place in the room and read and read.  They seem to excited to be back to school.

A Royal Welcome to Second Grade!

It is always so much fun to meet my new students.  I am super excited for this year.  We had a really fun tea party and learned about manners and how royals treat each other.  We loved having a "spot of tea" (watermelon punch), Chessmen cookies, grapes and ham and cheese.  We loved our new crowns.  It was a great day.

It is a great new year!  Over the summer, I married a wonderful man named Kevin Anderson.  I will still be going by Ms. Melanie but am also very excited to be Mrs. Anderson.  The kids had a fun time meeting him and want to call him Mr. Mustache!
